PADI
OPEN WATER DIVER

Open Water Diver 70 percent of our planet is covered with water, so if you want to see something of this amazing world you have to get wet!
Experience new adventures and see animals you didn't know that could be real.

You want to experience the adventures of diving but you are not sure if you want to do the whole open water course? Take the Discover Scuba Diving course and decide after this introduction whether you are up for the challenge.

The Padi Open Water Diver Certification qualifies you to dive on your own with a buddy or a professional. You can rent or buy scuba equipment anywhere in the world and explore the local under water scene. PADI is the worlds largest diver training organization, so you can be confident that everywhere you go they will recognize your credentials.

Everybody who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification. The minimum age for the course is 10 years.

During this course you'll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. The course is set up as follows: Open Water Diver
  • learn all the skills in pool or confined water,
  • theory lessons and examination, and
  • 4 open water dives.
The Open water diver course is normally conducted over 4 days, of which 2 full days and 2 half days. Contact us for other set-ups, keep in mind that the course is performance based and not time based.

After your Open water course you can continue the adventure with the PADI Adventures in Diving program, your next step in exploring the under water world.
